This week, we’ve worked on a few features that customers had been requesting. Specifically, we increased the character limit for link rewriting and added a new account management feature to make it easier to downgrade to a free plan.
We like to keep you up-to-date with what’s happening at Mailgun each week, but sometimes the projects we’re working on are all in the Research & Development phases and we don’t have much to share.
You may remember that Mailgun was acquired by Rackspace back in August of last year. So far, we think the acquisition is going great: we’re still developing on the product as much as ever, we love the Rackspace team, and thanks to our awesome customers, we’re growing really fast
This week we’ve rolled out a significant improvement to our reputation algorithm, affectionately known to the Mailgunners as Razor.
After a few weeks rolling out some frequently requested new webhook-related features, we worked on a some less visible things to keep Mailgun new and shiny for you. Specifically, we decreased the number of queries per second on our main MongoDB instance by 50%.
Happy Friday! This week’s update is the sequel to last week where we rolled out easy testing for Routes webhooks. We’ve finished what we started and now all our webhooks have an easy to use Test feature that sends a sample webhook to a URL of your choosing for easy debugging.
Last week we released a much-requested email tracking feature: domain-level webhooks. Continuing on that theme, this week we’ve released another webhook-related feature: easy testing for Routes webhooks.
This week’s main theme was webhooks and we’ve got an exciting (and much requested) new feature to announce: domain-level webooks. In addition, we’ve been focused on improving our reputation system to catch spammers and scammers before they can do their damage.

This week, we’ve rolled out an enhancement, ok, we’ve fixed a bug, in our email parsing API, which is part of our incoming email handling system called Routes.
There’s a lot going on at Mailgun, so we thought we would start publishing a list of updates each week, with the new features, bug fixes and improvements we’ve made.
