How Mailgun is supporting businesses and the community during COVID-19

As we all come to terms with this new normal and businesses adapt their business models to current unprecedented circumstances, we want to let you know that Mailgun is here to help. We are dedicated to helping our customers, employees, partners and the community weather this storm.

Here are a few things we’re doing to provide assistance.

Our Customers

The COVID-19 pandemic is one that few saw coming. In many cases, businesses have had to shutter their brick and mortar locations with little notice, and impacts to earnings and employees are unprecedented. In this time of great uncertainty, Mailgun wants to help our customers who are trying to keep businesses running, pay employees, and are searching for the best path forward. Details on the various relief and support options being offered can be found below.

Frontline Support

  • We are passionate about supporting those who are on the front lines of the fight against COVID-19. We are offering a free 3-month plan and set up assistance to nonprofits, government agencies, and medical organizations who rely on email communication to inform and organize the community. Deliverability Assistance

  • Good communication is more important than ever. Our deliverability experts have been on-call to assist customers with their ongoing COVID-19 communication strategies. We’ve provided knowledge and resources to effectively communicate during this crisis through our blog and technical account managers.

In addition to the above support initiatives, Mailgun is operating through our own Pandemic Plan to ensure we’re able to maintain our promised service levels to customers. If you’d like a copy of this plan, please submit a ticket.

The Community

Our employees are doing amazing things to support the community. From fostering animals from local rescues to making masks for medical personnel, we’re truly proud of the drive our employees have to make a difference in the community. It’s because of this dedication and passion of our employees that we’ve started Mailgun Gives, a program dedicated to supporting the community in this time of need.

Our Employees

Our customers are the heart of Mailgun, and ensuring they’re supported during this time is not only critical to our success, but also to yours, our customers. We enacted a global work from home initiative in early March, and we are keeping our employees working and paid during this challenging time. While job security and physical health are the most critical concerns, we also recognize that staying connected from afar is what really makes this situation manageable. It’s with that in mind that we’ve launched a variety of “quarantivities” or activities for employees to engage in during quarantine.

We’ve also empowered our employees to activate and create initiatives that inspire them. They’ve created a Discord channel to stay in touch with each other, launched countless gaming groups, hosted virtual “singalong” movie nights, and even created our own Mailgun Spotify playlist.
